In July 2015, in a rather spur of the moment decision, we traded in our convenient Palamino Traverse Pop Up Camper for a 2015 Keystone Bullet 308BHS. The Bullet has two slides and is thirty-five feet long. Although we loved being able to store the Palamino in our own garage, we always found ourselves stepping over our clothing, towels, and the kid’s stuff. The Bullet’s rear bunk room is our kids’ favorite feature and we enjoy the storage a thirty-five foot trailer provides. The Bullet is an aluminum frame, laminated fiberglass sidewalls weighing in less than 6,200 pounds of dry weight.

As we said good-bye to camping season 2014, we decided to put our Fleetwood E3 pop-up camper up for sale. Finding a buyer turned out to be easier than we had dreamed and before long we were at the dealers ordering a brand new 2016 Rockwood Signature Ultra Light 8312SS with a bunk room. We brought our new thirty-five foot camper home in April 2015 ready for the camping season. We love the space this camper affords us and appreciate the extra bit of privacy that we did not have in the pop-up! The Rockwood has an aluminum frame with Gelcoat fiberglass exterior. The Rockwood prefers 50 amp service and weighs about 8500 pounds when ready for camping.
